FIE is a network of environmentalists established in 1997 who maintain and support this website. Out of this network a company limited by guarantee registered in Ireland was formed in 2002 to pursue the stated aims of the network. The name of the Company is Friends of the Irish Environment Limited. The Company Registration Number is 326985. The Registered Office is:

The Directors are: Caroline Lewis and Tony Lowes.

The name Friends of the Irish Environment is a registered domain name as well as Company registered in Ireland.

Site Design

This site was established in November 1997. It was redesigned and upgraded on 14 April, 2002 and transferred to an on line database during 2003. The visual design of that version was by Dave and Gillian at , Belfast and the reconstruction of the site was by: Irish Networks, Castletownbere, Co. Cork.

The Technical Advisor is Terry Byrne and the content manager is Tony Lowes
